Stock market data infrastructure
Quickstart: your first company API request
Create an API key, resolve a listing, and request a company profile with explicit exchange identity and error handling.
Documentation revised
Create and protect a key
POST an email address you control to /api/v1/auth/keys. The response exposes the full key once; store it securely as STOCKMARKET_API_KEY. Key issuance is subject to validation and abuse controls. Never embed a key in a public website bundle.
curl --fail-with-body -X POST https://stockmarketapi.ai/api/v1/auth/keys \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"email":"[email protected]"}'
Request a company profile
This request uses an illustrative NASDAQ listing. Inspect the returned ticker, exchange, data_completeness, has_price_data, and latest_financials_date before requesting dependent datasets. A missing field is not evidence of zero.
curl --fail-with-body \
-H "X-API-Key: $STOCKMARKET_API_KEY" \
"https://stockmarketapi.ai/api/v1/companies/AAPL?exchange=NASDAQ"
Choose the next dataset
Financial statements, price series, and filings are separate responses with separate availability. Use the current interactive schema for field types and the pricing page for access conditions; an example is not a promise that a listing has a complete history.
