Stored stock data coverage
Inspect an observed snapshot of stored company, price, financial, and report coverage without confusing unknown counts with zero.
Documentation revised
What these counts mean
The snapshot describes stored records visible to the coverage query. Companies with prices, financial statements, or reports are separate measures; report and markdown counts describe documents rather than companies. A company can appear in one dataset and be absent from another. Counts are not a claim of complete provider or exchange coverage.
Inspect a listing before integration
For programmatic dataset presence and stored dates use authenticated GET /api/v1/companies/coverage, with optional exchange and security_type filters. Then request a representative company dataset to inspect field completeness, source labels, and period history. The public summary cannot replace that validation.
Unknown is an explicit state
When the snapshot cannot be read, coverage is unavailable and no numerical claim is made. An available snapshot still does not assess whether records are current, accurate, or complete. Its observation timestamp describes the query, not the market-data timestamp or filing date.
