Inspect stored presence
GET /api/v1/companies/coverage is an authenticated listing of active company identity and stored dataset metadata. exchange filters listings; security_type accepts equity or etf. The response is a stored-universe view, not a claim about every company a source provider could supply.
Read dates per dataset
A latest price date measures a stored observation. A latest financial period end measures reporting coverage and may precede its filing date by months. Neither can be substituted for the last successful collection time. Presence alone does not establish completeness or freshness.
Handle unavailable evidence
The public snapshot below is optional operational evidence. If unavailable, counts stay unknown rather than becoming zero. Compare record dates with the relevant exchange session calendar or reporting cadence; a weekend and a missing trading session require different handling.
