Text beside the original report
For stored ASX annual and half-year reports, the filings response can include a markdown_url alongside document_url. The markdown is a conversion of the report for text workflows. A report record or PDF link does not imply that conversion has completed.
A document workflow with explicit access
Discover reports using source=asx and the appropriate company exchange. Retrieve markdown with X-API-Key; PDF downloads use the public default format. Stable report URLs resolve the stored document at request time, while optional signed redirects are temporary.
Validate extraction before reuse
Tables, page ordering, scanned content, and footnotes may not survive conversion faithfully. Retain the original PDF and report identity, check extracted passages against it, and carry source links into any index or retrieval corpus. Markdown availability is separate from structured financial field completeness.
