Index constituents API
Discover stored index membership and company identity without treating current constituent lists as historical, bias-free universes.
Documentation revised
Discover the available lists
GET /api/v1/indices lists stored indices and member counts. Request /api/v1/indices/{index_name} for members, optionally filtered by sector. Discover identifiers from the list response; examples in the application include SP500 and ASX200. Current stored availability determines what a request can return.
Keep membership and datasets separate
Membership rows identify companies in the stored active index universe. They do not imply that every member has complete prices, financial statements, or report downloads. Join members to listing identity and check coverage for each dataset you intend to ingest.
Avoid a historical-universe assumption
The active membership endpoint is not a point-in-time constituent history. Using today's members to select earlier observations can introduce survivorship bias. Keep a dated copy of the membership response for your pipeline and state the selection date in exported datasets.
